Frequently Asked Questions

  • I have extended medical coverage, do you direct bill my insurance coverage?  No. At this time we do not direct bill. We provide a receipt for you to submit to your insurance company with our license number on it. Most insurance companies cover physiotherapy provided by a registered physiotherapist, which we are. If you are unsure if you have coverage, it is best to speak with your insurance company.

  • What is the cancellation policy? There will be no charge for cancellations when a minimum of 12 hours notice is provided. If less than 12 hours notice is provided there will be a charge of $50.

  • Do you charge travel? Yes. Travel is charged at a rate of $0.72/km (as per Canadian Revenue Agency guidelines) plus $50/hr when a client lives outside of Penticton, Summerland, Okanagan Falls or Naramata.

  • My house is messy. Do I need to clean it? No. Please don't worry about tidying up; we understand that homes are lived in and we want you to feel comfortable during our visit. There's absolutely no need to clean your home before our arrival.

  • Do I need a referral from my doctor? No. Physiotherapists are primary healthcare providers, which means a referral is not required. If you or your doctor would like to send one, we always welcome them.
